Information for All Bid Directory Owners

If you own a bid directory, take a look at this post for tips to help maximize bid directory revenue, and lead to a better submission experience for customers. I submitted to most significant bid directories today. If you have a bid directory that is a little established, and you did not get a submission from me today, it is likely because of an item on this list.

"Don’t make submitters enter the bid amount more than once." - Are you referring to the confirmation page in PhpLB?

I think it's better to reduce the steps. But I haven't fixed it yet. Anyone knows what to do?

Yes, I have seen it shown on 2-3 pages! Also, on the one before the confirmation, it resets back to the minimum (or below) bid amount.

Just curious, off the top of your head, do you happen to know how to get the new phpLD Bid Mod to instantly update bids for currently listed sites?

Doubtful.

 

It's suppose to do that under normal operation. I'm sure there's support on that in their forum, but I don't know offhand on its issues.

 

You have submitted yours to mine. How was it? (I have approved yours by the way)

I am not sure which page you are referring to.
I didn't modify that part in mine. I will try to fix it if it is the case.

Yours has a nice method for the description. Deep links are good. I would suggest moving the guidelines to the right of the page, and having the form fields on the left to reduce the submit page height. It seems that your bid increases do not take immediate effect, though. Yours has to re-enter the bid amount too, I'm afraid.
