Hello everyone! I have been lurking around here for a while and have decided to open Beacon-Directory.com This is a new Bidding Directory. I know it is still ugly and has the default template on it, however; stay tuned, forum user Aspidov is currently doing his thing for me. This is a larger budget project for me and this site will be promoted heavily. That is GREAT news for all website owners. Now is the perfect time to get your listing in place on the home page as traffic will surely be rolling in soon. I have already spent close to $1,000 on listings at some of the top bid directory sites and will be conducting a larger promotion once the custom template is in place! This allows you to get a position early before the full launch takes place! The starting bid is set at $5. The Top 15 Bidders will also be shown on the Home Page. I have currently set the initial bid to $2. This will run as a special until the custom template is delivered. This is a great opportunity! Traffic is already being generating from large sites. However, they have no listings to view yet! Why not expose your site while my final touches are being completed! I agree with NeoGen. You should have more categories and sub categories in the directory. Is the PR0?

Hi everybody... another update. First, I want to thank all of the webmasters that have placed bids on the directory! I hope you are all happy with your purchase. I know I have been working with several of you quite closely! Second, you may or may not have noticed that the site was down for a little bit last night. Why? Well I had the directory on a shared hosting program and quite frankly, it just wasn't cutting it. The site was slow and unresponsive at time. Sooo, I have purchased and move the site to a "semi-dedicated server". You will notice the site performing much faster! And finally, I know that I have been talking about the custom template! It IS coming, so just hang on. We have run into a few issues with it, but they are being worked out. It is on the way.. As always, feel free to leave a message here or PM me if you need to discuss a new category or have a suggestion for the directory! Look forward to working with you all! Lance
Ok everyone.. Finally an update with some good news. The new template is up and there are a few things I am working out. Make sure you take a look at it! I am very happy with how it cam along! Also, I anticipate that we will be completely finished by Tuesday or Wednesday. That means tentatively I will be raising the minimum bid to $5 on Friday morning (of course that is just the tentative plan at this point. It will happen as long as the template is FINALIZED). Lance, You may want to check this thread out. This will help you fix the bidding error that is in the script. http://forums.phplinkbid.com/showthread.php?t=277 This will keep people from having to keep entering in the bid amount.
we are working through some of the bugs as we find them. Please feel free to tell me about any missing categories or features that you feel should be there. The template came in before I was expecting it, so based on the submissions and the rate at which the bugs are being fixed, I will be raising the submission price on Wednesday morning instead of Friday (unless a major issue is reported).
