Help monetizing or selling site.

I wasn't sure which forum to stick this in, but this one seemed best.

I have a car fan site (note one in my sig) for an upcoming car that will be released in the near future. Traffic is not high yet, but I am making decent money on it already. I would expect traffic to increase significantly after the car becomes available. As for search engine rank, I am second only to the manufacturer in the major engines.

The domain name is ~2 years old now with a PR of 4. Up until now I have done very little with it so there is plenty of room to grow.

I guess my question is, what would the value of such a site be if I put it up for sale? 10k? 20k? more? Would it be more valuable to just ride the ad revenue for a few years?

    Please advise.

The price of a site is generally based on the revenue it makes monthly x10.

You can sell a site based on other things (future value/search rankings/etc.) if the people interested in buying see value in those things too.

Unless the car is a big hit i do not think the domain name is worth that much. You might make more money off the ads then selling it.

    Ok, that makes sense.

It is certain to be a huge hit/success.

I would try to monotize it as best you can - what are you using, Adsense?
