    IMO, many (most) funny movies are really stupid; The industry aims to please the Lowest common denominator (Figurative uses)

    This years movie "Knocked Up" was a bit above average.

    Joe Dirt is one of the funniest, a bit gross sometimes.

    Scary Movie series is good too, especially that Tom Cruise-Oprah Winfrey show bit in part 4.
