not sure how adbrite works

hi, i just recently swtiched to adbrite to try it out and see how it works out compared to adsense and was wondering how it actuallly works, because my site still has the "advertise here" thing going where the add should be.
do people acually have to sign up to advertise on MY site before ads start showing up or does adbrite just automatically handle and put the ads up like adsense?

Well both of your thoughts are correct, you can set the price for webmasters to buy ad's on your site and when there's no purchased ad's to show then adbrite will show Run of Network ad's (I presume), depends on your ad's space set up and the origin of your country.

For instance you may have CPM ad's or CPC ad's being displayed on your site but because of your country of origin they may not be visible to you, webmasters have the ability to choose which countries theirs ad's are shown to.

 

They show ads from the ad network until you get some people to buy ads on your site.

I have to email them and ask for them to review and accept every single Ad Zone before network ads appear. It takes about 2-3 days for them to accept the zone.

generally it takes a week.
when you see a hit in your stats from adbrite, they have reviewed your site.
