    Hello...

I would think its the same as home page..

If you where to submit your inner categories using "Deep links" as well
as connecting them with other sites (with some PR) then im sure that
the inner PR would grow as well as your inner pages would rank much better in SEs.

    thx

Build backlinks to inner pages and make the most of internal linking.

Have a good internal link structure.

If you have homepage PR5, and 5 inner pages, they will likely turn PR5. If you have a more inner pages, they will turn PR4.

If you have 60+ (just a guess) inner pages, they will turn PR3.

Create a decent sitemap and link from every page to the sitemap.

Also be sure to check the reply posts above, great advise.

The inner pages will get PR automatically ,you do n't need to worry about it.

If you have a high PR in the main page the inner pages will get PR as well, usually a point lower than the main page.

Does that normally happen on the same update or in future updates?

On the same update. There are no different updates for home pages and inner pages :)

Happened to me in the same and subsequent updates. I got some inner PR for Emporium Directory but I lost most of them for some of the categories because of the SEO-unfriendly links and had to change them. Inner PR for categories such as Shopping and Regional were from the previous updates.
