    They sure do. Many use SEO companies to submit url. They have large marketing campaigns and apparently web directories are part of their efforts.

    Yes, big sites also want to get ranked higher on Search engines... so they optimize their keywords/keyphrases through directories.

    yes they do and we have heard lots of stories over the past months. I've had big banks and retails sites submitting to mine, but hoping for more :)

    Well, Aplus Hosting and propertysold .ca and logobee submitted their sites to Linkspub.

    These are sort of mid size companies.

    yeahhh they hire SEO's who do work for them... but NO SEO expert looking at my Directory :( after working day n night & putting all the manual effort possible... I m unable to get satisfactory submissions... I also give 5 Deeplinks at 5$ which is very low & my site has a reasonable PR of 3 & PR prediction is PR5 & has ONE .edu link :) So... SEO's tgt my site... I will reinvest all money onto mysite again & will give the maximum linkjuice....

    Sure they do, if a web directory is a good quality and traffic they will submit. In the time I still owned dirspace I've gotten alot of submissions from bigmouthmedia and searchsummit.

    Also check this list http://www.webuildpages.com/directory/, get listed here and you'll recieve submissions from the linkbuilding man himself!

    Yes they do. They hire full time SEO's as a Part of there Web Production and Development team and get them to do this work which webmasters are offering here on this forum :)

    They most defiantly do, while a few appear to have internal staff most seem to contract out to a select few SEOs.

    Yup, I've had a few big corporate links submitted to various directories, but whether by specifically the company doing its own promotion, and outsourced SEO agency, or just a fan of the brand, its hard to say.
