Abandoned forum posting contest, should I do anything?

There was a contest I participated in about a month ago... The person with the most posts on their forum wins (minimum of 50 to qualify)... I was the only one that participated... He said "look like you are the only and sure you will win"...

Now, weeks have gone by, I've sent PMs (with no response, even though he's posted in other threads), and nothing has been posted to the thread... I'm angry I wasted the hour or so posting those 50 posts on that useless forum... What would you do?

The guy has 7 billion times more rep points then me, so a negative rep won't matter...

Should I go back to the forum and spam the living daylights out of it?

Should I just forget about it after moaning and whining about it in this thread?

Just bugs me to see abandoned contests...

 

What forum was it and what "would" you have won?

I'd be p**sed too, but I dont think I would have wasted my time posting 50 or so threads unless the prize was worth it!

There was someone paying for posts on a medical forum not long ago. He never paid because his PayPal was frozen. The said forum doesn't even exist any more, so he diddled work out of every participant of that thread. He was a member in good standing too.

Just goes to show...

That sux, and it was just a link? I mean man, if it was like a hundred bux, and he was just not letting loose because his promo failed and he was begrudging taking the loss..

I realize a PR6 link is worth a lot.. but it's a link.. shady..

You can give him -ve iTrader though.

Leave negative Itrader. Yeah, he'll give it back, but if people check the thread they may ignore any you are given.

I think one of the downfalls of itrader is that people fear to use it...which makes a good scammer even better (though I'm not calling that member a scamer, just talking in general).

 

He has 165 iTraders

The thread starter of this thread has only has 17.

I would recommend everyone to red rep him and dont leave any iTrader. It will backfire and you will both have bad itrader.

The entire iTrader system has backfired, as this is exactly what it was meant for. Who knows how many other times people with 100 itrader have scammed, backed out, or otherwise deserved some negative feedback.

If it's not used, it's not needed... and if its only used when things go right, that gives a false sense of security where it's NOT needed.

This thread is case in point.

Thanks... We should have a sticky thread somewhere that lets people post usernames of people that owe things to others or people that have scammed others... just to alert others in the future...

Yeah, thanks for the Input... I was excited about it, because I budget all of my sites, so a free PR6 link for a site that has a lower budget would have helped a lot...

There is the down side of getting negative iTrader in return, and that is the down side of the system, but it is the system, or rather should be the system.

Sadly from reading threads like this though it seems that no one ever gives bad itrader unless it was a BIG deal or scam. This leads me to believe that if I wanted to be a scammer here I could pull over a bunch of little ones. Combine a bunch of little scams with a handful of legitimate trades and WHAM I have 300 positive itrader and not a single red pip among them.

But it's not just you, it's EVERYONE here.... we all need to start stepping up and using th system how it was meant. If we do not we are all but supporting bad deals.

I replyed to the thread. According to his profile he is from Australia.

They have laws on competitions and contests, i did a search on google.

By not giving you the prize, he is probably breaking the law
