Without even realizing it, I just clicked an Adsense ad (wasn't mine) while using a proxy. Do these count as valid clicks?

No normally they get counted out by google and if it keeps happening the account holder gets a nice email from the adsense team

You clicked an adsense ad that wasn't yours? I don't really get what you mean. So you clicked someone else's adsense ad? That's pretty normal isn't it.

When using a Proxy (hiding there ip address ) (surfing anonymously ) google doesn't like that

But you'd prob know that going by you sig ?

I think they only start to send the emails if it happens alot from the same proxy ip

Oh I didn't realise you meant browsing through a proxy, I thought you just meant an ad on a proxy site.

browsing through a proxy is very dangerous..
If you click while browsing, google might ban you.

Ban those who clicks on someones others ads or ads publisher? I highly doubt this can cause a ban, but probably almost every click from proxy will be identified as invalid.

What's so abnormal about clicking an ad displayed on someone's page (seen THROUGH the proxified page of the proxy)?

If it's like that, anybody can get their enemies banned from AdSense by browsing the site through a proxy and clicking the ads displayed there. ;)

    I agree...
Moreover.. if you see.... the address (when you click on the ad), in the address bar.. is not the proxified address, it is the actual 'pagead2.googleblahblah' address..
so that means.. either the click IS counted as valid (provided you ain't clicking ur ads), or it could be rendered invalid.. but the account is certainly not banned!
