A Picture is worth 100 words then just imagine the worth of a video on your website. Every pixel of your website is a valuable asset and using it effectively is a must to make it a profit making machine. A video may just occupy a space of say 300x300 pixel or even smaller but it would still do wonders. It may carry the information which would have stretched up to many webpages of your website. You can’t expect a visitor to religiously go through each of the webpage to collect the information to be supplied. At times the visitor might think it to be a long process to extract information and may give up browsing your website & look for another website. Thus you loose a very valuable visitor. A visitor on an average spends at the most 10 sec on a webpage and understands it, so simplicity is a must for every website. Every glance at the website should convey the right kind of information & in the right proportion. Displaying a video on the website not only makes things very clear but also captures attention and increases the time the user would spend on your website. The video that is displayed should also be worth displaying. So carefully make it and upload it to attract visitors and promote your service or product or simply your website content. Besides displaying the videos on your own website you could also upload it to some popular video sharing website like youtube.com to get maximum attention for your video and then add a link back to your website in the video. The only care that has to be taken is that the video should be provocative enough to relate to the viewer’s sensibility and make him respond to the video.
video publicity could be used in any kind of website...there is prabably no restriction here...you could use video to actually explain your service, its procedures, benefits and so on...rather than write and explain things...what would you opt for a video or text to understand something?
Ive been using video quite a lot recently. Not necessarily to promote my website but to offer something a little different for my website visitors to view
Is it like you are suggesting the usage of videos to promote one's site or you asking for opinions if it is the right way to promote a site ? I have never come across such a thing before. Looks good but need to hear from someone who has first hand experience.
made a commercial for my real estate website and placed it on youtube and a few leads by video websites and it brings me 2-3 uniques a day which isnt great but not bad
i'm actually pointing out that videos acn be used for publicity...in the sense drive more and more traffic to your website...now to explain this itself i can take the help of a few sample videos on my website which are the most awesum videos i have ever come across..these videos should suggest how you can use videos for publicity...onlinemoneyblog.biz/video_for_publicity.asp
All newbies in website development could further find such information at www.onlinemoneyblog.biz There many articles of this kind written specially to help budding web developers....it could have been easily sold in an expensive e-book...but I'm genuienly into sharing it and helping out..do make use of it
You're also into bumping your own threads. That's very bad form and very inconsiderate to the posters of the other threads that you've knocked off the page by doing it six times in one subforum
Well i don't think so...its just an effort to get the message accross the right kind of people...if you would have been kind enough to notice, its wasn't just the message alone....the tread carried useful information for the readers too
I was kind enough to notice that you c&p'd the same post and added it to the end of several of your own threads. Exactly the same post linking to your blog.
Yeah, I've seen people use videos to advertise their sites on YouTube and such... I guess it can get peoples attention if your good at video editing...
I really like watching videos but I have heard many people do not like videos. Anyone have stats on this?
Hi, Well...I don't think you really need stats. Simply look at the explosion in online media. Faster connections, more bandwidth..people love watching videos. Problem is, people like watching videos of funny cats, or car chases. I'm mixed when I am forced to watch a video to get information from a site. (Many internet marketers are moving away from the long sales letter and into using videos exclusively on their sales pages). Regardless, if executed correctly, video can be a huge help. Cheers, bri
