Any ideas how I can fix this? It is a personal blog of mine. What happened was I discontinued it for a while and then restarted it. For some reason now I guess I'm being penalized? Anyhow, any ideas how to fix this?

We had the same problem with seo.com when we bought it, it was parked for about a year, with only adsense. Which means banned from Google basically. Anyway, we submitted a request for inclusion, and haven't gotten a response, but like indy said above resubmitting your sitemap and seeing if there are any errors usually takes care of the problem.

Unless you are doing blackhat or spam, you are not being penalized by Google. When you stop adding content to a site, Google stops indexing your site. Google thinks nothing has changed so no need to index it.

If you do not have a Webmaster account then set it up ASAP. I currently am using http://gsitecrawler.com/ to generate my site maps. This does not have a limit on the number of pages.

Add this site map to your Webmaster account and Google will read this sitemap within a day. You can also submit this sitemap to Yahoo and MSN as well.

    Hope this helps,

    Hello,
Are you updating your home page? Are you adding new content? Are you building linkexchange? Maybe you could submit your article to digg, netscape, etc :)

The more regularly that you add content, the more the bots will crawl it.

You got that from the Google Webmaster Center ? If so, don't worry because that's just out of date. On my sites it says from may to april and like has never been crawled again but I trace bot activity every hour or so and my new content is on the web in less than 24 hrs.

If you noticed that from your AWstats or similar statistics software then it might be a problem, but if its GWC then don't worry .. you'll owe me a beer :)

    Cheers,

Check webmaster tools in Google for errors. Also, do a search of some key phrases that are unique to your site. If it looks like proxy url's are coming up you may have been proxified. You could be dealing with the Google Proxy issue. The search engines may not be looking in the right spot anymore.

You could also try submitting a new sitemap.
