    I am compiling a list of free niche direcotires, if you happen to have one, please post it here and I will have it added to the list.
    Please post or PM only niche directories, not general ones.

    This could result in a lot of submissions for your directory as I will be using and posting this list. . .

    Eric’s Directory is a niche Directory about books, authors, literature and book oriented websites in general.
    The directory is free, no backlink required (but appreciated ;))
    There are still sponsor/partner slots available, but to be honest, as I'm not a "pro" in directories, I don't even know what the worth of such a spot is :eek:

    The interesting thing is that the directory is part of a good frequented website about books. (http://www.boekensite.net/ and http://www.boekensite.net/indexe.html , the English part will be rebuild shortly to match the look and feel of the Dutch part)
    Many pages from the mainsite deeplink to inner pages of the directory because of the relevance of the links with the content of the site's page.
    So, the directory is visited by interested and targeted visitors and not only by webmaster which only want to submit their sites.

    I personally review each submitted site. Important factors for admittance are :

    1) relevance
    2) relevance
    3) relevance

    Besides that, quality (of course), content and added value for my visitors are also major factors.

    I'll bite, I've got 2.

    Crafty Tips Arts & Crafts Directory is free, but does require that each submission be accompanied by a crafting tip and allows up to three listings per site as long as they can reside in 3 different categories. The site encourages using deep links for submissions.

    Pet Site Guides. A newer site that has no special listing requirements. It too allows up to 3 submissions in 3 different categories. Deep links are encouraged.

    Does your definition of niche include regional directories or not, Jordan?
