$50 simple logo contest.

I’m posting a contest for someone who is not a DP member; however I will personally make the payment to the winner. This contest is for a new logo for his business. The website url is listed in the below text. Here is his brief description of what this business does and what he’s looking for. Please post or PM me any questions and I will forward them on.

”I am a computer technician primarily doing home & small office
computer installations, repairs & networking. I also install/setup
HDTV's as well as integrate computers (home theater PC's) with video
systems. But my main business is computers.

I have a logo but I don't really like it. It doesn't get across what
my business is about. The website could be better, but right now my
main concern is the logo. If you want to take a look at the website &
see if you can make a better logo, just go to http://www.hometek.tv. I
don't want anything too fancy or complex. This will also go on my
business cards. The current logo shows the HOME in one color & the TEK
in another color, but I think that the two words should be the same
color. The .tv could be a different color, but isn't necessary. What I
do want is the H(ome) & the T(ek) to be capitalized though.”

As he stated above, the logo should be something that can easily be used on the website, business cards, or anything else. It should be simple but professional. If the logo doesn’t go with the ticker header that’s there now you can add in an easy header that will blend well. If this is going to cost more for the additional header please just let me know. We’re open and willing to listen to all creative offers.

Size: anywhere from 150x150 to 200x200. It doesn’t need to be a perfect square or exactly between these sizes. That’s just a ballpark of what we’re looking for.

Colors: Open

This contest will end on Thursday, August 30th. We have the right to end the contest early if we find a logo we’d like to use before the deadline. We also maintain the right to declare no winner if we don’t find a design which meets are satisfaction, in which case there will be no re-posting of this contest. We also maintain the right to extend (or not extend) the deadline if there are requests to do so by contestants. Payments will be made via paypal the day the contest ends and I receive the winner’s paypal address.

don't you think that the idea of HT combined in the middle looks like the one on hecky's logo?

 

Yeah it looks close, but it at least its not a exact copy like I've seen in some of these contests.

Hmm...it does use the same idea as mine. Even if you didn't get the idea off me you should have checked the other entries to see similarities. Also, slayer you should probably say that the graphic in your logo isn't origional.
