Greeting, I'm releasing a new directory with automated linkexchange. Please give me your opinion about it. You can make a free and no time limit registration into the directory simply by filling the form in http://www.webrickco.com/linkexchange/register.php As soon as your email is confirmed and your submission is ethically accepted, your site will be displayed in the directory under the categories (up to 3) you have chosen. Please check http://www.webrickco.com/linkexchange/directory.php Additionally, you can automatically exchange links with sites under your categories, simply by placing a personnal php coding into your page of links on your server. Regards
Your site wouldn't accept my attempted submission. No reason given. Instructions are unclear, so after twoo attempts I gave up.
Please help me to correct some mistake i could have made. Sofar some user have successfully register with no sign of arrors given. In the registering page, you only have to fill some mandatory data for which the labels are in red and to choose from one to three categories. After that, just click the button create, wait for the confirmation email, answer it and then i will quickly review your site. Additionally, if all this bothers you, i will be glad to fill your data myself if you provide them to me, that is: User: Company Name: Site URL: Site Name: Description: Email: and at least one category. Thx for your feedback
I tried again, still doesn't work. Maybe it's because I don't want a link exchange page and left that part blank. It isn't clear if it's required or not. In any case the instructions are incomplete and ambiguous. The process is also unnecessarily complicated.
Well it's different from other directory for many reasons, first of all because it's an linkexchange program. Most directory are static, and won't allow you to recover your data, change them or change the categories you belong to. But to register in the directory, it is very simple, you just need to fill the following: User: Company Name: Site URL: Site Name: Description: Email: and at least one category. After that, you will receive one email to confirm your Email, like in common registrations processes. Later you will receive an email when your site is reviewed. Absolutely no link is require if you want only to appear in the directory. All missing field will be noticed to you through popups and required fields are in red. Again, supply me with your data and i will gladly fill them in. I'm sorry for these inconveniences.
I filled in everything except the "Displayed class" (Don't know what that means), still didn't work. Then I saw a note at the bottom of the page which says "This user already exists in the database." So that's why it doesn't work for me.
Lol, your registration worked just fine at first place! Maybe the message at the bottom is just too small to be seen. I will change that. Your site has also have successfully been reviewed and will appear in the directory as soon as you answer to the "Email confirmation" mail, you've received.
Webrickoo- Thank you for reviewing my site. I have now also replied to the email confirmation. I should have checked my mail sooner. Sorry for all the confusion. By the way, I suggest that you put confirmation and error messages at the top of the page instead of the bottom. A lot of people are like me and won't notice them at the bottom. Thank you
Yes you are right, i realize the bottom of the page is not a good place for messages... I will have to change this in a near future. Your site is in the directory now... Congrats and thx!
