How much do u earn on an average?

I would like to know if you guys really earn from having directories? If so how much on an average do u earn and how much do u spend on advertising? should you do so.

I thoughts its more about spending money and promoting your directory so submitters can get the benefit of their support.

And if I managed to earn a good name from this project, I be really happy

this is very personal question, I cannot disclose, but running a small company based on it.

 

Well it might be very personal but I am interested to know how much one can earn or the earning potential from a directory.
Is it worth to start a new directory inspite of having more tha 10000+ directories most of them having 95% same template and categories. Coz every day I find some one or the other staring a new directory. Looks a bit crazy, May be I am wrong. Thats why I like to know.

I dont own that directory. I market that directory.

 

95% of them fade out as well. Even if someone told you how much they make on average you have to factor in how much they spend on average... The market is LONG PAST the setup and take orders. You need patience and faith and deep pockets now. Many think they can set it up and it will run itself; it can't be further from the truth

 

You are right, I find most directories are not alive. The guy who owns the directory in my sig spends a lot on it to bring it very popular in the market. I am sure he will make it popular.

As of now he spends lot more that he earns with faith and patience as you said. Thats why I like to know if he is having any chances of winning.
