Can .info used for business purpose or business oriented sites. Is it allowed? Is it illega? Or there is no such criteria? Please comment. I am planning of buying one cos it is cheapest.
there is no any compulsion like you should use .com/.info etc... you can use whatever you like...and think that your customer will remember.... -I
You can use any domain TLD for business. Many people will tell .com is better because everybody (me included) type .com as default in the head. But if you work and promote the site you can do very well with a .info or any other TLD.
I agree.. any domain can use for business... anything that a site offer is a form of business.. even a blog...
I think that one day .coms will be seen as bad for anything but finding the sites of big brands. Why? Because there are so many financial operations snapping up .coms at silly prices for type in traffic and parking...and they are very good at it. But what is the end result of this process? Exactly. We are not close to this yet, but every day that passes brings this closer.
You can use .info. But .com is better. .info Is banned by msn. .info Is cheap and used by many illegal content.
Since a few days. You type domainname.info and it won't be recieved. http://www.hardware.info/nl-NL/extcontent/ZpaZbZhjmZvGapSTyA/MSN_blocks_HardwareInfo/
Ah... ...msn IM service blocks anything with this string in it. I thought that their search was blocking .info pages from their SERPS (!)
If the .com is also available, take the .com. If your site gets famous and someone else owns the .com, they will receive a lot of your traffic from people typing in the domain plus .com.
I got a .info on sale right now at $1.99 with free web hosting, website, email and more. www.mrwebstarter.com
Yes, that is true, I tested it myself last week and the MSN window show me an error when I posted a .info domain.
No Problems using .info for business Site but I prefer (and for sure many others too) using .com .info for a Business Site is just too cheap
But some ppl still can use it. They can talk and say .info without any problems, but I have to say 'dot info' .
For sure but people see .info as "spam" because they are cheap and most people make spam sites with them.
