I stumbled accross this site a few days ago, lots of good reads here as well as good information. I'm a bit lost to be honest, but I'm trying to pick up. From what I read several people make money through advertising on the internet. I used to do web design maybe 3-4 years ago, if anyone can give me some beginner tips/pointers to try it out, or a link I can start reading I'd be very much appreciative. For my main question: I was wondering how many people own online stores/e-stores and sell products as a means of making money? How many of you have dropshippers that ship out for you? Thanks, I hope to add to this community .
Making money through dropshipping is easy if you have the right dropshipper and creativity. Check out my 2nd sig link, where I run my own dropshipping business. I make money from dropshipping the products at the cost price on my website and selling on ebay.
We have a large member network using the wholesale programs that we recomended (viewed with free account access). Some just use the free directory, others automate the information on their own site, or they use the custom files for ebay, amazon, price grabber store fronts, shopzilla, and other market places.
"dropshipping isn't it something like middleman?" That is a good question. Sadly many "services' in the dropship sector are middleman services or retailers pretending to be dropship sources. However, there are many good dropship programs. There are the manufacturers who make the products. Some will ship directly, but many do not. Because of where they are in the supply chain they only want to sell in large volume to large clients. Distributors buy in large bulk from several brands. The stock the inventory in bulk on site. They will still supply products directly to large vendors and ship, hence the name "DISTRIBUTors" to these members. A Dropship Distributor is a firm which also ships products in small lots to individual members. They send the package without their name and use either no name on the package or use your logo and information on the package. A dropship reseller is a retail site or store that lists the products for sale. A customer orders the product. The reseller orders the product from the dropship distributor and then package is then sent. This allows a dropship reseller to sell 200 to 20000 or even more products WITHOUT needing to pay for upfront inventory. Dropship is not something that is only done by small retailers. In fact, most of the products on Wal-Mart.com are dropship products that Wal-Mart might not even sell in their own stores. If you find a good source for dropship products like DBL, DH, Wynit, XS Depot, Moteng, etc....then you can sell the products and make a profit. The problem is if you have a retail site that pretends to be the supplier. This is what you might come across if you do not use good sources for your dropship products. They will markup the products from the dropship distributor, pretend to be the source, then you try to sell the products from/for them. Since they have already marked up the products from the wholesale program..your margins have less room for profit. This is why some of these middle man sites charge large membership fees or monthly fees to just see the products, ie they know your chance for selling the products is low. Dropship is a great business to be involved with; just make sure you find the RIGHT source for your dropship inventory.
Most difficult thing is to find good dropshipper. As in most cases these dropshippers dont advertise . Actually , lets say they get top position for keyword "dropshipping " , now every tom and dick visit their site and purchase products . However according to US law , if some dropshipper get caught selling products to common person , who dont have legal documents to sell . Dropshipper's own license will be cancelled . Thats why real genuine dropshippers stay away from advertisement.
which law is this?? there are tons of ebay sellers who do not have business license. this may be in india but not USA
