Not sure if you can see this symbol/character domain. I think it is a nice collectible IDN domain. It looks like a dollar sign in the browser. No type-in value, but a cute domain name. Well worth the reg fee per year to have both www.ღ.com (xn--7od.com) and www.ṩ.com (xn--1ig.com).

Am I crazy or just bored?

I think you can get some nice money off it on ebay.

Worth a try for an auction, only cost you 15p per listing I think.

Personally, I'm not into IDNs. Especially ones like those that are not a particular letter or word in a foreign language. You might get a good price if you find a collector out there who likes those type of names though. If I was looking at IDNs, I would be looking to register words rather than just characters.

I just thought they were cute. The heart (ღ) is a Georgian letter. You would be surprised at the traffic it receives! All from North America, all searching for dating/relationship stuff. The other one (ṩ) is just a Latin letter of some sort.

I only have a few funky 'symbol' IDNs like ♀♀.com and 1¢.com. They all receive some traffic. I only keep them as collectibles, like baseball cards. I'll give them a few years and then drop if they are a liability. It's only $6.50/yr, so I won't lose the house over it. :p

Russian IDNs are the mainstay of my portfolio. They get tons of traffic and the RPC can be pretty good if you have good single-word domains. Polish is good, too. I know that Japanese IDNs get most of the press, and those are a good investment for the future, I believe.

Japanese are great for me. Russians get better by the month, and I have some top generic Arabic IDNs (majority of my portfolio) that have been surprising me every day.

Yes, things are getting better and better for these foreign language domain names. Internet penetration is increasing in most markets at a rapid pace, browser and email support is available and spreading, and many other advancements are taking place in the marketing sectors and tech sector.

It is good to hear that your Arabic domains are taking off, FKA200. That market is wealthy and becoming more and more wired. Japan is already wired and wealthy - that market is a no brainer. :p

they could both be worth a lot to the right person. Like someone mentioned they are like baseball cards.

ღ.com is an actual letter in an actual language, and is somewhat popular with North Americans. Search ღ in google and see what I mean.

Actual 'words' are where the money is at.

Of course, I wouldn't list them if I didn't. They are registered.

IDNs are a native speakers dreams + a domainers heaven. You have to really test the waters to understand what I mean.
