Promote a good product on Clickbank. There's alot of rubbish in there so it takes time to figure out what's worth promoting. Don't necessarily promote the "hot" items with alot of gravity. There's products which maybe ranked lower but are picking up steam. Run with those products. Make sure you setup a landing page so you can track stats as well!
Hehe... that's the problem with finding a product/program to promote for in affiliate networks such as clickbank, CJ, etc... It's best that you look elsewhere if you want a higher chance of turning profit on a program on your first try. Take a look at my sig. if you want a program that works for you.
Finding a product has always been a challenge. I am promoting couple of products and made sales. But I am still finding it difficult to choose product.

Rather than promoting a single product, it is better to promote several products of the same type on the same page so that visitors can choose anything among them. My products new and I'm making sales everyday (mostly my own referrals) It hasn't picked many affiliates yet, for its under a week old, but I am having no problem selling it. A designer is currently re-designing the site to give it a web2.0 look and feel. Should increase sales even more. It relates to your field, and its a unique product that hasn't hit the markets hard yet. I'm getting return sales too. I had a few people buy one, than come back in a few hours to buy a large package. No returns, complaints, or chargebacks as of yet. Check my sig for a link

Is there a way to link to one of your inner pages with the affiliate code or do you have to enter through your homepage? Also, could I redirect directly to the clickbank payment form from my site (and still get payment)? Thanks
Hi GerryT, I see the program is working for you! I saw a few sales come in under your name I am currently going to enable it so you can link to individual products! Ill have it working soon There are tutorials I can supply you with on how to redirect clickbank links directly to the payment page, but as the content creator, I must approve the page. If the page states incorrect information or the likes, my refund rate goes up and may cause me to lose my program. If you want to do this, PM me and I will send what I can.
I would definitely go with the Bum Marketing Method as a Newbie before venturing into PPC or similar methods

I found a product that didn't have any sales. I talked to the guys that owned it and asked for a promo copy to help me promote it. Within a week I had sold 2 copies and within a month a couple more. It is now ranked well for that type of product (WoW guides) You just need to find one you like and try hard at promoting it.
