    Hello...

I was making my rounds and happened to start rummaging threw a
few directories to see if i got some traffic from those Big Boy Directories...:D

I had submitted too a few a couple weeks back and fancied threw the latest links
of alive when i ran into this listing of Nickolodian

It doesnt surprise me as alive is a very well promoted directory but this proves
that "quality directories" can/will go very far in the industry ;)

    Nice work "chris"

    thx

Do you really believe that Nickelodeon went to Chris' site and submitted a link to his directory? :D I could be wrong and Chris, chime in if I am, but I highly doubt it.

Directory owners that want quality directories go out and 'mine' links like these. Good content = Quality directories.

We go out and GET these sites to list in our directory. We don't wait for them. Hell, if we did, I'd have about 4 listings right now! :D

Actually, they really did submit. I did not add them. It was also submitted to www.bigweblinks.com (Nick and Nick Jr web sites), which was the surprise. I get submissions from large companies all the time on Alive Directory, but this is the first for the bid directories.

Well then, call me a dumb ass (and I know some people here will :D) because I just don't understand why a company that BIG and popular would need a listing in any directory. Maybe because I have 4 grandchildren and Nick is a site that we have as their home pages? :D Anyway Chris, I am truly impressed! How do these companies even know of your existence and I mean that with respect. Maybe you can PM me with some tips? :D

Smub answered your question: all these big companies hire seo companies to do the job for them
And the $50 bid explains it. they only need the link no need for higher bids.

This is MY question, why do they NEED the link? This is a site that is already PR7 and quite popular. I am just fishing for information here, nothing else. If you don't ask, you never learn. :D
