I made the switch on one of my boxes so far; doesn't seem that much better than XP and still not nearly as good as OSX
At the moment, I will still stick to using XP. I believe I will eventually switch to Vista, but that will be a couple of years later.
I'm waiting for a 64 bit workstation before I get Vista. It pointless gettting Vista for my current system because XP works just fine on it.
If I had extra money and couldn't come up with a use for it, I might buy Vista. No, I'd need a new computer first. XP here.
I bought myself a new notebook (AMD Turion 64 x2 and 2 Gb Ram) and switched to Vista. I can only complain about compatibility...it's hard to find software versions for 64-bit and even harder for Vista 64-bit edition. It works well at 2 gb ram, so I'm pretty happy with it so far.
I have purchased a new lenovo laptop 3000 N Series - it comes with Vista Home Edition Preloaded. Its looking good. Actually i have started to like it very much. Its interface is much better than XP i guess.
Currently i am using XP , but i will upgrade to Vista as soon as i get my new PC my current pc does not meet the hardware requirement of Vista
Using VISTA on my laptop without having any problem (only zonealarm not works with this but its ok as using other security firewall there) and using XP on my desktop pc.
well... firewalls and antivirus are not necessary in vista , its a most secure windows software. so there is no problem if zonealarm not running
Vista on my main machine runs fine haven't had any issues. I run XP on my laptop and haven't had any issues with it either.
