I have a few questions: 1. Is the owner/developer a member here at DP? If so...who is he/she? 2. When people bid, they are not automatically submitted (which isn't a bad thing) but I would like to know why. All paypal info is correct and the IPN is in place. That's the critical list I know there's a thread some where that discusses #3 but could find it. All help is appreciated. Thanks, Tim
A human being reviews sites for quality before links go live. This is general good practice for directories.
Agree with.... Bear w/me as I'm quite new to this script. I like the fact that they are not automatically submitted; however, their bid is not "registered" leaving me with the task of manually entering their bid based on their matching paypal payment. Shouldn't the bid automatically register w/in the script? Or do I/we have to match bids to bidders (based on payments) and the adjust bids via admin accordingly? Seems kinda tedious.
phpLB is supposed to accept bidding links automatically. If you have to manually input the bid then there is something wrong with the settings. Check the admin panel to see whether everything is in order. Also you should note that the PayPal email should be the primary email of your account.
yes the developer/owner of the script is available on dp, his name is tekime!! try this place, http://forums.phplinkbid.com/ you will get better answers! for the links that are not auto approved, the reason is, in the config pannel of your phplinkbid, you have entered your site as, http://www.yoursite.com make it http://www.yoursite.com/ you will have to put the "/" at the end of your url! cheers!
Well...all is in order sofar as the admin section goes. The email address is the primary email for paypal and the IPN is "enabled". I know others have had this problem because I've read previous threads relating to the same issue. Only problem is that I can't find'em now:| EDIT: @uttoransen - we posted at the same time Thanks for the info. I did submit a support ticket...unrelated to the issues in this thread...and haven't heard back yet. Unless the response was delivered to the spam folder which I would hope is not the case. I have gmail and my spam folder is cluttered and difficult to sort through. Changes have been made...anyone care to test Take care, Tim
I am willing to test, I am currently in a "submitting to bidding directories" spree What is your bid directory URL?
Feel free to test here Bidding Directory. I will have the sitewide "leader" in place tomorrow...Thanks
Yes you are ... hopefully you'll have to fight for that spot soon Thanks for your submission and help!!
Well its strange i am using PHPlinkbid and its fine with me and the links are auto submitted on bid .
Hi There Usually, the Bid leader gets displayed sitewide, yours doesn't do this ? Well, you've said you're fixing it , so,,,,
i have a ticket in since the Thursday, August 16, 2007 1:01 PM about the same thing mine has yet to be resolved or even answered as a moderater from there told me to take it there from here
