Yeah, allowed.Tried it and found it to be good but removed kontera because of several complaints from members that forums loading slow (Kontera takes 4-5 seconds extra to load) and since forums are browsed by regular members and they constantly browse, I thought just for $3-$4 a day, I cannot harm my community. I'd rather use it on blog Its a nice additional income... I am very unhappy I cant use it on my forums

Trichnosis - can you point us to who/what/where you get this information? The Adsense TOS states that you can use other contextual-based systems as long as they do not have the same "look and feel" of your Adsense ads so as not to lead the user to believe that they are Adsense ads. Because Kontera is an in-text link-type advertising, it seems to me that there is no possible way for a visitor to confuse the two - regardless of the colors - so i must respectfully disagree with you (because you're wrong ) I am using both at my site and it has been a great way to increase my earnings. And.. if i may brag a bit ... if you go to Kontera.com, click on the "Kontera secures 10.3Million in funding" link in their News & Press section, you will see that they quoted ME and mentioned my site - So i guess i know what' i'm talkin 'bout..
Wrong - wrong - wrong! ADSENSE clearly states that the ads MUST NOT look alike So how does a inline text link ad even look like adsense? What would be totally awesome if adsense created a kontera system
i am using kontera but its currently only 5% of what am getting on adsense. oops. I guess i need to call them and get some tips. Terabite can you help?
Maybe you're just doing really, REALLY good with Adsense? You might try a different color - if you dont see any change i would suggest contacting your account manager or support for advice. they can look at your stats and settings to make sure they are targeting the right content and they can turn your link density up or down - and probably a lot of other things that i dont even know about..

Kontera doesn't work for all types of site. I had the same problem - only getting about 5% of my adsense amount - but worse, the adsense income fell by much more than the Kontera income total. Perhaps it works best that have a low adsense ecpm to start with?

Kontera seems to work well with adsense because it does not seem to affect adsense CTR (according to people here).
Yes, you can use Kontera and ASsense together, as seen from here as well. Both of them should not affect each other, and it's not a violation of the policy, as far as I know.
If Google do that then great!!! So far I will use Kontera on selected pages and not ov er the whole site.. it still seems a grey area doesn't it..... but if other people are doing it and earning then I will.
I also wouldn't recommend Kontera on forums. I tried it for 24 hours and hated it! Totally not worth the payout. Talk about laggy....
