    why would someone get de-indexed?

Why is it every time I find one of these guys I feel nothing by Trechery and disgust?

Hey, a little healthy humor doesn't hurt much. I know that it's not funny to you, but at least laugh a little before you turn to the serious task of fixing your problem.

My advice - start blogging like crazy to add a TON of new (and unique/fresh/clean) content to the site. Watch your stats and make sure that the Googlebot is at least visiting.

Their is two databases you are banned in one your not banned in the other depending on who gets fired the end of this month you will be back in the index if that datacenter gets thrown out completely.

That is over. Freedom of speech. Get some brains. stop wasting your time in this forum with kids under 25 or I will label you a pedifile and report you to your isp.

The domain is old - created in 1995. Brother, I don't know how to break the news to you, but I think you have to find out the truth. YOU ARE BANNED!!! You're not in Google, though you have some backlinks and Google actually sees your site. I think the reason why Google banned you is that your site is a classic MFA. No info, just google ads. If you remove the ads, put some contents, and do some serious begging, maybe, just maybe the Almight will reindex you.

That's your problem right there. 15,000 articles like that probably tripped a spam filter. Buy another domain.

or maybe the backlinks are gone, sites dry up over time, while others change - so those links could have been removed, or the site died, or the backlink no longer has PR.

I noticed that one of my popular sites went down in PR from PR6 to PR 3 ..a big leap that I'm guessing has to do with some links dying or something. It sucks but I'm not too concerned since PR has little do with SERPs.

I do beleive you can ask Google for reconsideration, provided your site isn't MFA anymore, has good content, has relevant page titles, and follows the Google webmaster's guidelines. The link is in your Google Webmaster Tools. But they say
So it might take a while. :(
    Good luck
