Will a hundred paid blog posts help?

I've seen some offers lately in these forums for paid blog posts on a hundred or even more blogs PR 4 and higher. The buyer generally has to write a post, and then it is posted to the blogs.

I am skeptical about how much good this will do for SEO. Won't the links be nearly useless if they come from unrelated sites? Or does deep linking the sites in a post with keyboards related to your genre remove this problem? What about once the posts hit the blogs' sub pages, which probably won't have any PR?

Does buying bulk blog posts really help?

100 of the exact same blog on blogs with the exact same content will help very little. All these blog networks offering duplicate posts on copycat Wordpress installs aren't going to do much for you.

Now if the articles (and post titles) were different and each blog had it's own content aside from paid posts then it'd be much more beneficial (hint hint).

You'd fare much better getting blog posts from individual bloggers with their own individual post.

I would have to say no, to the extent that it would make a big difference,

    heres why:

    1) chances are they are not relevant to your website but if they are yes it will help a little.

    2) Because the blog posts are not unique every blog post but the first one indexed will fall into the supplemental index and Google won't count the blog post including your anchored links as unique.

They are worth a little, the question is do you spend on the little, or rather something that makes more sense, IMO .

The problem is that in Google`s eyes these blognetworks have exact same content (most of the time) so I don`t see reason why Google would give value to them .
But if you have no other way to get links (you are in the wrong business) if is better than nothing , but not too much better .

I agree, unless the content is unique on each blog it probably won't do much good. Maybe a little

It won't do you much good, but because the price is low and you get a 100 backlinks instantaneously, people go for it.

I wouldn't recommend going for blog posts on unrelated websites. That can have some negative impacts on your site SERPs. You should go for paid posts on individual blogs rather than a network of blogs all with duplicate content.

    This is correct.

I'd take that $20 and buy one good quality blog post in a related topic or pay for a text link for one month.

in my opinion, it's better to avoid from blog networks.

i prefer buying single blog posts from single sites

I think a lot of these offers come from blogs that have scraped content. They probably won't help much.

I have purchased blog posts on some of these networks and have not seen any SEO benefits at all. I would of course love to be proven wrong on this count!

On the other hand, I have a small blog network of my own of 11 blogs - these blogs have about 80% similar content.

For one of my sites tha I have done nothing with at all for about 5 months, I made a single post across the network targetting a particular keyword.

I did a snapshot of the SERPS position for that keyword before the post and it was 19/160,000,000 2 weeks later, the SERPS have changed to 11/160,000,000 - a pretty decent rise with the addition of an extra 11 links!

Now, the conclusion I draw from this is that when it comes to duplicate content that less is definately more.

I have no idea as to the upper limit where the benefits start dissapearing, but the networks I bought posts on were 80+ blogs.

From my experience it seems that there are real benefits in getting blog posts out about your site, but you really need to do your homework on the network and how effective it really is. It would seem to me that a smaller network where you can get your post onto some of the blogs are probably a better investment.

I like to try and get at least 1 post in 5 on my blogs to be unique or at least not on the whole network. This way, when the G Bot comes crawling at least the homepage is different on Each Blog.

Now, the only way to really test this theory is for you to do it yourself: I would propose a fairly simple test.

Set up 2 new sites with say 10-20 pages of content in the smae niche and get a single link to both of them from the same site. Once they are indexed, then purchase a post from a large blog network about site1 and then do the same from a smaller (less than 20 blogs) network for the 2nd one. and give it another month or so to see how succesful it was.

    Monitor your results.

I've had the exact opposite experience. Maybe it's just blind luck, but every time I do blog posts on a bunch of other high PR blogs, my rankings and overall traffic jump dramatically. I have a ton of inner pages that especially benefit from my doing blog posts.

Think Dup penalty. You are better submitting posts to relevant news/article type sites.

I'm too wondering if it can help to promote selling my script, I don't care about PR or backlinks, I just want to reach the market, what do you think?

The problem is most of the blogs are new and have a few posts which probably there's no visitors even see them.

My concern is DUPLICATE CONTENT. Maybe if they would take ONE payment and 100 variations of the same text, it would help.

Also, th 100 blogs should be similar in niche to the site being promoted.

I believe it will help. But do it on an individual blog basis related to your niche and not a network.
