And what can i do about that?
Because i am already blocking them, but as soon as i block one, another one pops up.

Do you mean: with every update they are getting lower and lower?

    Yeah :-(

I am seeing that from last 3-4 days.. the amount of clicks have came down significantly... from 20-25 a day.. to 3-4 while the number of impressions are same... the cpc rate has also came down significantly.. from $0.10 (Avg.) to $0.03

what the fuck is going on???

Well, someone laughed at Monty2002, but I'm going to say the same thing, I'm not seeing any decline, nailing, screwing, or whatever term you want to use. I suggest people take a close look at the ads that are displaying and see how many are directory sites or otherwise low-paying arbitrage. Which specific new monetary policy are you referring to.

There are some days, when my earnings are extremely low, and days (mostly free days, weekends) when it goes up. But I have to agree, there is something strange with those stats, and even that what I wrote above, doesn't explain everything...

lots and lots of people are having the same situation here. not just me or a few. there is somethig definately wrong going on. My last hope is that this is all has got to do with the PR update process (somehow) and will get to normal once this damn update is over.

Perhaps Google is updating AdSense along with the PR update...maybe they are doing something that will increase profits in the end ;) . Otherwise, it could be an error, but I hope it has something to do with the PR update.

Google cannot afford to lose webmasters interest in adsense because these days many and many other alternatives to adsense are being launched from Google's competitors.

I think adwords and adsense ads are the most inexpensive for the advertisers

That's why a lot of people leave AdSense. They always are tweaking stuff, and it is always different when it comes to the payouts:traffic ratio weekly, even if your traffic is consistent. Maybe they needed a new server to crunch the PR update, and so they decided to screw...erm I mean "adjust" the payout rates temporarily.

Same here. But again, he is complaining about his stats, not his earnings.
    My stats are fine.

I've noticed this a few times now, the traffic stays about the same impressions also about the same but the value of click falls...
In the past after about a week or so it goes up again, this is strange...
Also I did notice a drop before when they updated the PR.

Mondays are usually the lowest traffic but yesterday I got:

    Page impressions 13,825
    Clicks 1,273
    Page CTR 9.21%
    Page eCPM US$8.57
    Earnings US$87.42

Not forgetting the above is for a monday which is usuall bad, late week & weekends are better but still for the past couple of weeks earnings are down a lot compared to say a month ago...

    weird...

Back when Adsence launched I was pulling in like 26c a click, now we are down to around 6c a click… People say Google is giving us 70-85% of the revenue for the click. The truth is they are paying 5-15% of the click paid.

We all know site targeting is cheaper, however how much cheaper do you really think it is? If they paid you 70% of a click and you got 7c for the click, that means the customer is paying 10c a click, and Google pocketed 3c. Try more like 70c for the click and you got 7c which is 10% of the revenue. If you have done any Adwords spending you know you have to pay around 80c or MORE a click to land in the top 5 for most keywords. Even keywords like “free ringtones” which is a very crap market to even target is charging around 2 dollars and something per click to make it in the top 3.

When you see a spike in webmaster complaints about Adsense earnings dropping off, I will bet my left nut that Google will report a good quarter in the earnings for themselves as I have seen it happen time after time since they launched their IPO!

Google does not like paying us for traffic they sent to our website, they feel it was their traffic because they sent it to us… Hell you even agree to take whatever they give you for your traffic, and is why so many people have moved away from them, and Google is now doing PPA in Adsense that once more you can not control!

Your post really helped me acknowledge what i tought google was doing.
That what i think, and i can read from your story you do aswell, google (adsense) is taking a bigger cut out of the amount that was paid for a click.
Every once in a while day take a bigger cut,and name this "smartpricing" ,just a dumb word for every "seo-expert" to explain the lower earnings.
    Am i right about this?

Well - I think especially with August being one of the slower months for revenue - combined with the drop in payouts - it is not wise to short change people right now - this would be the time to open up and pay a little more to help webmasters make it through the toughest month of the year. Just my opinion...

My income is off by 54 percent so far this month - traffic same - clicks are up..
