No. Terrorism is an act of violence committed against innocents. Watching people drop from the 82nd Floor of a commercial building, ablaze, creates fear. And anger. And a host of other emotions. Whether "they" use that fear is subject to debate, but first we'd have to define "they," and go on from there.

 

WTF. If someone is targetting innocent people and blowing them up they're a terrorist. Period.

Well, "they" are the administration, and that administration has made a point to drive home the fear that American’s should have.

Terrorism is a word used to describe the acts of terrorists - how the hell can you possibly know if someone is using it to create fear? That's something you decide for yourself, it's an arbitrary decision. Asking someone elses opinion on it is damn near pointless.

Furthermore, you haven't even given an example of the word being used or explained the context in which you're referring its use.

I mean for God sakes, at least define what it is you're talking about. Give us some context.

Oh dear, that is a bit black & white way of thinking. Have you ever been in the
history class when they talked about the raise of Nazi Germany? I constantly
see people that are unedjucated and blind, it makes me sad. Any intelligent
person can tell you that ofcourse they control the population through fear of
terrorism, there has been many new laws that would have never passed with
out the fear. I really don\'t want to debate wether USA goverment is right or
wrong, but the fact is they use fear of terrorism in almost all cases. If you can\'t
see this then you are retarded if you are older than 18+, if you are younger i
can understand.

I think that the term 'terrorism' can be used to create fear, ofcourse. I have no idea about the US government tho, so i won't comment on that.

If yes, then on what level? On what level are they using the word to create the fear and how?
Are they using it to justify their war and invasions?
Are they using it to create new laws?
Are they using it for some hidden motive?
Are they using it to create a chaos?
Are they using it to really hurt America?
There are so many questions associated with that single question..

If you ask me, what I think about it then I'd say I don't know, although I do not trust Politicians and Governments. But on the other hand I know that terrorism is real as I live in a country that is affected by terrorism and constantly fighting against it for more than 25 years.
