Fourfind is for sale - Read What I've Learned In Developing Directories

Yes, it's true. Fourfind is for sale. At over 1 year and 8 months past it's initial launch, I am looking for a new owner.

I started with directories in 2005.

I've learned a lot about directories from my launches and sales and I think Fourfind was my last directory.

Some things I've learned owning/running/selling directories:

1. It's not easy. Maybe for the QBC's, but trying to build a quality directory with a good reputation isn't an easy job.
2. It's not for beginners. It took me 2 years at least to really know how to build a very strong directory. You have to understand it, outline a plan, and go for it.
3. It empties your pockets. Although I'm not a huge promoter, I spent a lot of hard earned money running and developing fourfind and my other directories. I've made my share of investing mistakes and learned from them.
4. It makes you realize exactly what quality is. After reviewing thousands of websites, you can really gauge what quality sites are on the web.
5. It was fun.

Although this will likely be my last directory as I gear up for a very hard semester and next couple of years trying to graduate college & graduate school, the whole experience has taught me many important business lessons that I hope to bring with me through the future.

Try to aim for BIN, but lower the starting bid to get the bidding started. Some time ago I've sold my dirspace directory within 24 hours at sitepoint at BIN
