    Okay, i'm officially confused...

    If you use www the pagerank is 0.
    If you dont use the www the pagerank is 3?

    As far as PR goes I thought that mydomain.com & www.mydomain.com were the same???

    And by the way, I used... http://www.digpagerank.com

    hi bigbluesky2006, :)
    yes, you are seo high hand or top IT guy.

    check by digpagerank:
    with www ===> pr 0
    without www=> pr 3

    any good plan to upgrade it to pr4?

    pm or email me if you got some great idea,thanks :)

    Can anyone tell me why this domain without www is PR3?

    I want a valid explanation of why the www is making a difference to PR.

    Thanks :)

    As far as raising your PR, look at your competitors with higher PR. Use >> link: competitorname.com << in Google search to see what sites are linking to your competitors and see if you can gain links on the same sites.

    But surely it's the same site and so the PR should be the same?

    Nope, to google they are different unless you use a redirect. Without the redirect, it tracks them separately.

    For example: the site I founded (in my sig) with and without the www had a PR 6 and PR 1 respectively until we added the redirect. Now both are PR 6.

    Regarding the original question, go to the link building subforum and start getting links that way. A PR 4 is ridiculously easy to get, and a PR 5 isn't terribly difficult either. PR 6 or higher you need serious time, money, or content.

    As Anita said, they're different. A sub-domain of a website will have a different PR to the main site and www is the default sub-domain.
