I've been to a few directories lately where a featured is say $5. You think ok why not even if it's once a year no big deal. You fill everything out; than get to the payment page and it says 5$ a month. Please a) make it more obvious and b) why are we charging monthly now? Is it so you can charge $60 a year but if you just have $5 listed on the submit page it may encourage more users to signup? Or is it done as a trick so you fill everything out than say whatever and hopefully pay? Obviously an owner can do as they please with their prices regarding their directory but I"m just curious if others have seen this and what there thoughts are. Rob
I've found that it's usually a mistake, and the web directory owner didn't mean to have it like that. New web directory owners need to be careful about things like that.
This, for the most part, is definitely a mistake. Some do try and get slick, but generally a mistake with being new to directories
I have also come across this a few times but after talking to the owner, they realized that they messed up, or just they got caught and tried to backtrack!
