This MOD allows you to set different prices for different categories.(MOD works with 3.1,3.2 ,3.06 versions also 2.1 necessary modification can be done)

with this you can set individual prices for each category.

live demo( These categories have different prices for regular and featured links)
    http://submit-url.info/Arts___Humanities/booksellers/
    http://submit-url.info/Arts___Humanities/awards/
    http://submit-url.info/Arts___Humanities/artists/
    http://submit-url.info/Arts___Humanities/art_weblogs/
    http://submit-url.info/Arts___Humanities/Art_History/

other categories would have $4 as regular and $10 as featured

The prices automatically change if a category has been selected and

else After selecting category the prices will change.

Here are the snap shots of it

Let's change category on submit page - price is not changing.
I believe it's changing after submitting, however this is something that can make submitter confused.

When the category is choosen on the submit page ,it changes (Category should be choosen by the category chooser at the top)

Seems you don't know what I wrote about...

    Let's say I choose: Arts & Humanities/Booksellers
Custom prices are $55 for bot payed links.

Then changed my mind and changed it to:
    Arts & Humanities/Booksellers/Art_Weblogs
Custom prices in this category are $199 i $5.

But it still shows $55 for both.
I'm talkin' about default selector as this is what people have.
Even more problems are with AJAX selector.

    <select name="CATEGORY_ID">
Do you see any code for dynamic change?

Not so simple as you think.
Build js, build prices array, build new function for category tree....
Once I did it all of it but won't be disturbing you.

    [/QUOTE]

    I will explain you

First you choose Arts & Humanities/Booksellers(Regular links $55)

then you changed mind and then

you selected Arts & Humanities/Art_Weblogs(Regular link $5) and pressed continue

In the next page before payment you will get the price as only $5 (Just submit a link and see)

and not $55 as said by you.

If you have to look at the category price you have to click on the category chooser at the top!!

I can even post snap shots of it.

The prices does not change when you choose a category at the submit page you have to choose the category at the top to see different prices

Yes I noticed that - and that's what I talked about as normally people use DEFAULT selector for changing cat.
You could move first selecter into place where default one is.
Then we have one selector an it would be much more clearer.

What I once did (won't release) - was not even using button for changing category along with prices. Was just changing all with js. Easy and clear.

Whatever: if you like it as it is now - no problem.
Hope submitters will like it too.

I think if you relabel continue to refresh or recalculate would clear some confusion.

Anyway great mod and I would look forward to it as an interested party.

Yes but would confuse submitters a lot,as all of a sudden the price would change.

This would make the process easier for them as they have to choose a category before filling up the submit form

Yes I changed it in the MOD but no in the Demo I will change this and post a snap shot!

Is any one using this mod already?

I really think is going to be very good addition to my directory.

In my opinion, one of the reasons why people don't buy listing from directories is because categories don't offer the same value and to pay the same fee for a listing without taking this important factor is not paying attention to your customers.

I really would like to see how your "customers" see the value of this mod.

    Thanks for creating this mod!!
