Saying "delude yourself if it makes your happy" is not positive. While contentment is an excellent achievement, to obtain it at the expense of reality is very negative indeed.

im believed on life after dead in which we will be evaluated on every single action in our life here. So, it will let me think to avoid unnecessary mistake in relationship amongst human and nature.

In our daily life sometimes we also been punished for our wrong action. So, im just keep my self behave and learn from mistake.

 

To "delude yourself" one would have to "mislead yourself". How we can mislead ourselves is completely beyond me, unless we are schizophrenic??

I think it's amusing how many people use the word "delude" without knowing the true meaning of it.

Here's a question. Can we be content, have a sense of reality and make ourselves happy? Well, I know around 7 million others as well as myself that say a big "YES"!!

I think you have a point.... Not the bit about not being able to delude yourself, The bit about being schizophrenic. They hear voices in their head also.

 

Well, we can sometimes allow ourselves to be mislead when we believe something to be true. Delusion is just that: the deluded aren't typically aware that they are so.

As far as being content with ourselves and our spirituality, I commend you and the others in your religion who have done so. My arguments with you are helping me to realize that it really isn't so important which path we take, so long as we get there. Thanks for that
