Hi Everyone, I live in England and had opened up a paypal account with proper information few months ago. Now the problem i'm facing is that i am on vacation and currently in Lebanon. (A country paypal doesn't operate in) I want to transfer funds from my paypal account to my friend in his paypal (England). Can i open up my paypal account from Lebanon and do some transactions. Will paypal freeze my account or cause any other problem ? Waiting for your replies. Thanks Geret
Lebanon is not a Paypal supported country so if you were to access your paypal account, it would most likely be red flag and frozen. No, you cannot do anything with the account. Access the account when you return.
I think they will block your account of u login from another IP ! You can just mail then abt the problem and say what happen !
You can use your account from only one unique IP of paypal's unlisted countries..But before accessing your account call paypal's administration and ask them that you are going to access your account from lebnon..they will ask for an IP address ..give them that IP address from which you are going to access your account ... i'm too using paypal from unlisted country but with the proper & leagal method thats it !!
no, they won't freeze your account. I also been in vacantion in a country where paypal wasn't accepted, I logged in my account using internet, and transfered money to someone. Nothing happend.
I second what HostingDeals said! It amazes me that people would post questions on here that really should be answered ONLY by PayPal. That way you won't be mislead by anyone and get all upset if someone happened to give you inaccurate information that could cause your funds to be frozen or any other sort of damage that you wouldn't have encountered had you just contacted PayPal to begin with. So please contact PayPal. That's why they have a phone number and email support (which they respond to email within 24-48 hours usually). They do really provide some good help (and accurate help at that) far more better than anyone else can.
the problem with paypal is it all depends on what way the wind is blowing and how the planets are aligned as to what they will do. always contact them first and let them know what is going on. better that than loose your account
I had an account where I used to log in from a non-supported country. the account was always working untill I close it by myself. of course I didn't loose my money.
Would be weird for them to ban it if you're just using it on holiday. I would check with them though because you never know
if you were using your paypal account from england's ip and now you want to access it from any other(blocked) country, it's definately a red signal to paypal. and they probably freeze or limited your account, by considering as third party access atttempt. my advice is not to even think about it. it may be risky.
