Well of course you didn't that would have blow your cover, we shall have to wait for reaction from metas they are usually very fast with removals, delisting and other tasks that serve their vanity.
If you got a response by emailing staff, you do better than any editor I have known, it is well known inside ODP that staff never look at their emails, its a black hole!
Yes finally someone found to actually mass email bomb dmoz in a smarter way, really cool, i wonder how now dmoz will make a comeback, seeming their mail server doing extra job. Nice and might i add smart way to get back at dmoz lol. What you have started is not just a trick to get approved quick, but means of permanent red flagging of sites and mass emailing dmoz.
I've heard about people in Canada waiting for too long to get health care services. I assume you can walk into an emergency room there and maybe get more prompt attention. This may be the equivalent in directory submissions. It's makes sense that if you get someone to look at something, they might just publish it since they already reviewed. I don't think your listings will get kicked out but they may put you at the back of the line...where you were any way.
Many of my cats say "Don't leave a site at this level for......." So I check what gets left there, but if its wrong and the cat chjarter very, very clear, there it shall sit. I have reviewed it, but taken no action. People have emailed me about sites, I have cheked what they are saying, reviwed the siote, but taken no action. Drawing my attention to a site does not make me review for a listing, sorry don't work that way, and neither will this scam.
Hey, why are u getting grumpy cause they listed the mans site? Obviously it was a good resource right?
ODP ADMIN: *checks submisions* ODP ADMIN: Wow, this guy really wants his site added. I'm a mean guy so I'll not do it. Good thing I don't list sites that have been submitted weekly. [later] ODP ADMIN: *checks mail* ODP ADMIN: Oh poor guy couldn't get the submission form to work. ODP ADMIN: That's strange, this guy and the spammer have the same IP address. Just be careful if you are planning on using this method and yours
No they don't. I have a list of hundreds of elite proxies. They can never catch me, guaranteed. But like I mentioned before Dmoz doesn't really deserve to list a quality site like mine in their directory. Also if dmoz editors are reading this I don't want and prohibit you to list any of my sites there. Let me give you a partial list www.linkspub.com www.directoryjunction.com www.websecuritytip.com .....
I don't think many or any editors go so far as comparing IP addresses. If the category actually has someone that edits it, they will look at the site, edit the listing description as necessary and make the link live. I don't think they'd look up the site IP and search for all other sites on that IP and then check them quality or for past problems. If the site looked good it would be listed or if it looked bad it wouldn't. The big factor is whether anyone is actually editing that category.
