is it easy to open french bank accounts without being or living in france?

    Well, if you get only a atm card , you will only be able to get money in France from a cash machine. If you want to use you bank account with paypal, I guess you need at least a visa electron card. You will be able to send money to your paypal account or use the money you sent to your bank account from your paypal. With those cards , look carefully at the charges that apply when use abroad. I have one. I am charged 2% plu 3.5 euros when I withdraw money in Canada and 2% if I pay with it. Hell expensive

    d'accord, je pense que je sais :) c'est possible avec ma carte d'étudiant.
    french universities r allmost free! you can live around 5 years in france with the money u pay at an US university....so i figured...what the hell?

    Like many french banks you need to be fiscally attached to France to open accounts!
    Be very careful if you plan on doing this otherwise, they don't joke around

    really easy way if you want to do it through amazon.fr as a seller is to talk to them and they will basically set it up for you - it is not a full bank account but it works. i havent got any more details on me but i can find out if you would like?
