is it easy to open french bank accounts without being or living in france?

subject says it all. i figure 2 banks of france that allows to create accounts without being in france. all they need is valid national photo id and a few $100 to grab the atm card which works with paypal ebay and everything. i have even send an information request from one of them and waiting for their reply.

do you know anything about it or any other banks in europe does the same?

 

To avoid any SCAM I would go through my local bank if I was you. Ask them to open a Bank Account in the country you want. I do not say that what you looking at is a SCAM it can be a good service, but by contacting your local bank you have the possibility to deal with any issues localy.

Late answer to this thread but anyway If the bank is really credit agricole, this is a huge bank, I guess the biggest one. You could just call them, someone surely speaks english there

yes, just have to enter your bank account in paypal, as simple as that, it takes 3 to 5 days to be transfered

bonjour, im even late! anyways i think thats the site of agricole although im not sure 100% i have sent them an email and they didnt reply! this is something similer with french universities. i have been sending emails regarding studies and didnt get any reply! lol seems like i have to give them a call!

yah! france is an awesome country. i have my brother studying there and have heard french ladies are romantic im even learning french but heard the next session is going to start from the november of 2008 donc a bit confused
