    Hi
We bought 2 tickets for a festival this weekend and the tickets did not arrive. The seller could not provide us witha tracking no. as he was on holiday. He sent an email to us on fri saying we will get a full refund dont worry. We got an email today saying:

    To whom it may concern,

Please note that as of 17th August 2007 in order to maximize potential returns to creditors, Soldouteventz Ltd trading on ebay as Soldouteventz/Orangedays35 has been placed into voluntary liquidation.
From this moment forward ALL correspondence regarding outstanding orders or refunds must be directed to the following

    BRIDEGSTONES ADMINISTRATORS

    TEL : 0161 785 3700

    Contact : Mr M North

As an identified creditor you will be recieving details of the next steps in this process by post within the next 7 - 10 days.

We still have not had a tracking no. and I am getting the feeling I have been totally screwed over and will not get my money back. We paid by paypal in April so I cannot open a case with them as it was more than 45 days since the purchase went through.

Has anyone had similar dealing like this with an ebay shop. Please let me know what you think we should do

    Thanks

I'm afraid if this outfit legitimately went belly up, and you are not a secured creditor (you're not), you have nothing to do but wait, and won't likely see anything. Report them to e-bay, of course, in the event this is simply a scam and this operator does this serially - opens up shops, gets money, and declares defeat over and over again. But if it truly went under, and they have followed proper protocols, as a mere ticket buyer you're essentially out of luck.

Yea I would open a dispute with ebay as item not arrived...It's worth a try as this way at least your not sitting there waiting around with no hope..

Also does ebay not offer compensation for lost items, items not arriving etc?

I think may be out of luck since you purchased it back in April. Ebay / Paypal have many counters to INR (item not received) but 90 days is the cut off. Sorry to hear about that :(

I hate it when someone carries on trading when they already know they are to go belly-up at any moment. And there's nothing that can be done if they really went broke. Even worse, many directors end up opening a new business that is almost identical to the first, but without the debts.
