I got this site that I've worked on very hard to launch. Before I started the site I did major keyword and domain research. I used that adwords keywords thing, overture, wordtracker, as well as some secrets I got of my own. I did grab a hold of a great domain, and chose great keywords heavily searched, and the competitors are minimum. Maybe not that much, but there is a lot less competitors than 97% of people around here who had sites. I can't say the url. I've been hiding it from public forums. Not only that but I created the site so that it would get 30 to $2 adsense clicks always. here's my problem I've been running her for about 3 months and it gets less than 20 visits a day. it's not going up with the google keywords. I don't know why. -The whole site is hand written unique by me -It's been submitted to over 1000 directorys -It's been submitted to 100's of search engines. -I've done insite keyword optimization -loads of social bookmarking -Digg, stumbleupon, etc -exchanged with several higher pr sites -etc. My other sites, I did 1/4 of the work that I did on this site, but it's not going anywhere. The visitors are not comming in and google hates the site. If I just had the traffic each of my other sites have than I wouldn't be getting $4 a day, but $400. I don't know what to do, so I'm going to ask. Why it this happening?
infortunatly without knowing your url, and analyizing your links, competition, niche.. nobody can answer your question, but it appears to me that your website is in the sandbox (your site is only 3 months old), and as soon as u get out of the sandbox you may experience a dramatic rankings improvement. if you want, pm me your url and i'll take a look and see if there is something you are doing wrong. good luck.
Maybe it is too early to expect big traffic from search engines. Just have some more patience, if you continue to have unique content, the results should appear eventually. Also, you mentioned submitting your website to 1000 directories...maybe some of them weren't seo friendly. The following toolbar PR update should give you an idea if you were somehow penalized by Google.
As Mario said, its very difficult to guess without seeing the site and possible underlying problems. Are you ranking for any of your terms as you didnt mention. Submitting to 1,000s of directories wont bring much direct traffic, you need to get to page one for your terms. PM me your URL if you want some help.
It is a secret By the way submitting to 1000 directories does not mean that you are accepted and we have to see your opponents maybe they have submitted to 2000 directories.
I'm ranking down major pages. like page 7, page 30, etc. 1000 directorys isn't the point. The point is about doing everything. Directories I mentioned the most because it just so happens that my arcade has been submitted a lot to directorys over months and it's heading up to one of the best keywords in the world for gamming. By now I should've been higher than this. Where I'm listed actually is dropping. Pms sent
I wouldn't expect any real ranking no matter what for 3- 6 months So, your close to getting your gold
You have to be patient my friend. Marketing new site is tough unless you have experience on this. SE wont give you much traffic until some time passes. I was in your situation with my free classified ad site, had 20-40/day for about two months. I started asking questions to fellow dp members on different techniques. They were very kind helping me a lot. And now my site get more then 40000/month and going up. If you want quick traffic try this. Write articles on your site and submit them to social networking sites. This will bring you good amount of traffic if done right. Another thing you can do is get some links from some high pr (5+) directories/sites. This will help.
Somethings not right with your site, if you have good keywords in your domain, the keyphrases arn't highly competative and the promotion you have done means you "should" really rank higher then that. I don't believe age is a problem, i'm #10 for "SEO Company" and #49 for "SEO" along with a stack of others and a few months ago there was nothing on the domain. Hardly non-competative terms. There's no reason why you can't rank new sites, i'm not a believer in the "Sandbox" but i do believe in early mistakes that can have a lasting impact.
I can't say I didn't make a mistake along the way but something is really wrong so far. It's just weird that some cheap free script of an arcade would do so well, then this professionally designed, original contented, and SEO planned out site isn't ranking up. The only thing I can think of is that its seasonal traffic. What the heck, might as well tell you all. It's not a huge secret considering that it's in my sig. The dinosaur site is the one. It has next to no traffic, but very promoted.
