Who is at fault? Me or my host?

any website that redirects gives me an Internal Server Error on his server

At first glance, one might say you probably have a bad version of PHProxy or misconfigured it so here we go...the same script on a different server

Same script on different server works fine with http://myspace.com: http://dranet.com/lezune/ (excuse the name)

And here is a PHProxy that is fresh on his server which dies with http://myspace.com http://techentrance.net/~abigfrui/proxy/

Websites that redirect will generate an Internal Server Error on his server...these websites include google.com, yahoo.com, myspace.com, etc.

In my opinion, I believe this is part of the host's configurations and he should be responsible for fixing it. My host believes this is with a 3rd party script so he is not responsible (even though the script is the #1 used proxy script and he is a proxy host).

At first I thought it was just it didn't render sites without www.* but apparently it is the redirect.

http://dranet.com/lezune/ it logs fine into myspace (just no bulletins but it does login)

But for his credit, he did refund me

 

read about hosting busness all over the forum and you will know that php proxy script doesn't log into myspace by default

I already told you it's a script error - it's not the responsibility of the host to update 3rd party scripts that you are using
