    The moon reflects the light from the sun. For anyone to assume that it produces its own light simply because of what is said in the Bible about it being the lesser light is silly (IMO of course) I do believe in the Bible but the moon doesnt have to produce its own light to be a light source.

    This story is probably an urban legend and probably never actually happened. It's amazing that no record of this story exists online, besides those that reprint this bsalert article. The article seems to originate in 4/06 so its unlikely the original source would still have it; but that no one has it at all? Unlikely.

    There is a link at the bottom of the article, But it goes to a 404.

    I don't entirely believe it either, But a part of me wouldn't be surprised if it were true.
