Directory on my site?

    Hi im looking to host a directory on my site but with the hosting package i have at the moment it is going to cost me over £100 pound to get a mysql upgrade.

    Is there any other way i can have a directory on my site.

    I have tried zeen.com but when i cannot log in to the members area to accept submissions

    You may want to change to a different provider. You can get an entire dedicated server for as little as $69 with ThePlanet, and it offers everything you would need.

    Who are you with? That sounds very expensive, as Chris said look around for a better deal.

    That sounds very expensive. Yes, ThePlanet offers great deals, and they are very reliable, as well. Maybe you should give them a shot.

    That's damn expensive. Most hosts want $2 to $5 per month for a database addon! I'd change hosts as it would cost less to transfer! Mind telling us which host are you with so that we know to avoid them when looking for new hosts?

    I agree! I love hearing about places that charge too much, so I know what to avoid in the future...

    Anyways, for a directory, you don't need a dedicated server... If you're just starting off, why pay the $70/month? Why not go for a $10/month shared host? I heard hostgator was great...

    Sorry i had made a misstake it costs £199 for ms sql upgrade.

    Im with streamline.net and all i had to do was upgrade to the power user which cost me an extra £15. Which gives me 5 databases.

    Ok i think they have set a database for me because they have give me this info.
