Just took the plunge, yahoo, alive, aviva, and botw

feels like I spent a fortune, but I am hoping it will help rank me better in the serps. for the keyword tutoring, I am on page 5 now. about a month ago I was not even listed for it.

botw didn't help me at all, infact it was a waste of money - definitely not recommended

 

Aviva, Alive and yahoo are worth submitting

thanks guys, for my target keyword the yahoo directory is pulling spot number two on google now. alive, aviva, there were only 3-4 sites in the educational services category, so I think that's good.

 

I'd be interested to hear how you measured that

Also keep on continually building links and use the anchor. Build it slow and steady. In few weeks time you will be right up there.

I have just checked all the top 10 sites with that keyword on Google. Getting quality educational links first, I think you may have to get at least PR5.

 

those are highest quality directories on the net...

 

Providing all those links are "cached" then it defiantly did have an impact.

Now i would try Romow , directorydump, clush, Forplex and a few others in the avivas strongest list
that look like a decent directory.

Note: Clush is powerful but NO paypal option.

Back up this solid start by continuing gaining Reviews its an ongoing business that needs to be enduring

 

i put a project on elance for 100 relevant pr2-3 links. these will be added progressively. my yellow book campaign is about to start so I will be getting a link from there, and perhaps a press release through send2press in the future.

make sure you get links from relevant sites and directories too

 

how would I find good relevant directories?

 

Try the free lists when you launch your next site. Maybe not as quick but the same results and a lot cheaper.
