Pagerank does matters only incase of you are selling link, or you intent to sell domain or intent to sell whole web site.

For the rest, traffic & conversion matters.

PageRank only matters to the very small percentage of webmasters who actually know how to use it or what it is for.

The rest you will find posting their theories in threads like this, stating that it is only good for selling links or looking good. For them, that's the truth. It does no good to own the worlds most advanced Bagger, for instance, if you honestly have no clue what to do with it:

Think about it, if PageRank didn't matter, then why would Google be so upset about people buying it?

BTW - for those who happen to be wondering, my birthday is in November, and I think one of those diggers would do just nicely. :D

I for one do not say that Page Rank doesnt matter. I only say that SERPs and traffic are worth more and that PR is somewhat over rated by many people.

The original poster said "page rank isn't what it's cracked up to be". They did not say that PR doesnt matter.

Conversion basically means the proportion of visitors who took some sort of action that earned you money

Sound like what I wrote in my link.

I believe that PR follows the SERPS and site content, not the other way around.

And where a site can continually improve, PR is known to do the "yo-you" showing that PR is unreliable and unsteady.
