I think above someone have discussed about PS (Page Strength) as an alternative to PR. and i totally ageed . you cant think of PR Dead
It will kill off teh dropped domain for PR market as well. I can't say I'll miss it ... too many directories selling PR (and predicted PR ) and too much people only intersted in exchanging links with high PR sites.
Well, I just think that the PR won't be visible any more - I cannot see any good reason for G* to make it visible at all. Anyway, my intention for the thread was collecting information on how much bandwidth is needed to calculate something similar to PR.
These type of WILD RUMORS should never be discussed. Come-on guys - look at the OP--just trying to get some attention! The more you participate in this unsubstantiated talk--the bad you look. Period.
Again - see my original post - I am just trying to collect information on how much bandwidth is needed to run a spider in order to calculate something similar to PR.
If Google no longer used PR as a calculation, then please explain to me what good some other form of PR calculation would be?? Considering 90% of the webmasters care less about PR (My guess is there are 10% of the webmasters who do care being involved in link sales) However if PR ceased to exist, I doubt they would care about the fictitious number as well.
again-- I'll unsubscribe from this thread after this post-- But what title do you have for the thread? So there's no PR any more - alternatives What does it mean?
Well, Webmasters need the PR as a value for the strength of a link on a page. What will happen if there's no way to determine it any more? You need it if you want to sell links and you need it for SEO work.
Without PR, what reason would anyone have for downloading and installing the Google browser toolbar? That's the only reason I installed it.
Of course not! I love how no one mentions the fact that PR is built into the google toolbar, GWT, and god knows how many other things. They aren't going to disappear over night.
