how much help can i get from web

    hello webdesigners out there..:cool:
    i would like to design a site..:)
    how much help can i get from web to build this one. All out there are saying that web2.0 is all you got and all you need..
    i want a good background.. like, with some gradients and stripes..
    can anyone pls tel me from where can i get..
    And what scripting lang should i learn to become a good webster??:confused:
    i know HTML for now..:D

    First, ignore the web 2.0 factors right now since you're just starting to learn.

    If you want to go designing, I would first of all get the ultimate tool known as Adobe Photoshop. I would suggest going through the basic tutorials available at http://www.pixel2life.com. You can learn a lot of things from pixel2life. You cannot make a GOOD design in 1 day, it'll take time to be familiar with the tool.

    Currently, the most popular language is PHP 5. You should learn PHP for start and then jump onto more modern languages such as Phyton(DjangoProject) and Ruby(Ruby on Rails). To get started with PHP, I would suggest going through www.tizag.com tutorials.

    You need to know HTML and CSS. You might need to know a little PHP. It just depends on what kind of site you are making.
