Hey guys. So I am starting this video site and the .com domain that I wanted is taken. So I am trying to decide between 2 other tld's. .NET or .TV. I figure because it is a video site, .tv would be more appropriate, but .NET is probably easier to remember for returning visitors. What do you guys think is the better option to use? Regards, Jordan
Why not get both? Have one forward to the more favorable one. Personally I would go with .net over .tv
Yeah. Getting both does not seem to be bad idea at all. But if you were to choose one, .tv would be better as it is a videos site. .tv for me.
He's working on the assumption that returning visitors will type .com and .net before they type .tv. Yes, I agree. I don't think getting the .net is worth it just to catch returning visitors who may have forgotten the extension. But that's just my opinion.
I think .net is better for type-ins, but .tv could be more brandable depending on what you're shooting for; and even holds a small amount of SEO potential (again, depending on what you're ranking for)
