i believe this report paid links point started the end of google empire. i'm sad for this as google users
wow look at this negative rep someone gave me for this post: Absurd; Google shouldn't micromanage "things" but you should micromanage Google's priorities ... DP is the forum of hypocrites http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=3827052#post3827052
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what exactly is a paid link again? In layman's terms because I am somewhat new to all of this.
Honestly Michael, You are picking up on the guy unnecessarily. He made a damn valid point with a touch of sarcasm. He was talking about Spam blogs, not all bloggers. How difficult is it to tell that a link is not earned but bought or exchanged if one site on topic A links to another site on entirely unrelated topic B?
Webby, 1) That was almost a month ago. 2) To able to determine if it was off topic, Google would be able to determine topic, which is something they cannot do with much accuracy at all. He was talking about spam blogs because he doesn't understand what the thread is about. It's about paid links, period. Newspapers, schools, blogs, magazines, all websites that sell links. That's what Google is going after. -Michael
Sorry, I didn't notice that Ahh, yes with Google, I agree with you... Yes, I agree with you on that point also..
Google can't change anything IMHO. As long as links are still availible in html, webmasters will keep buying and selling links to each other, and brand them as links for 'traffic' and not PR. Imagine google banning all of DP webmaster's sites. That would kill half the internet.
