It looks like Fox News has pulled the plug on what was perhaps the most unfunny comedy show since Mind of Mencia. I forced myself to watch this not once but twice, hoping it would be better the second time. It wasn't.

The lesson that should be learned here is leave the writing to the comedians, and the punditry to the pundits. Fox News actually had regular staff members writing skits for this show. Don't they have Dennis Miller on the payroll? Why not use him? He's funny when people understand his references.

That show was the worse I have ever watched. I am glad they finally put it out of it's misery.

Think Progress is an extremely biased site. They left out some very important verbiage.

First, here is the full letter.
Then, there is this nugget on media bistro.

So while TP would like to pretend it was a failure, the show actually outranked all other shows of its time slot.

For some reason I feel Fox might have pulled the show over complaints that an actual news station having a satire show is not good for its image. Which, by the way, I agree with.

They pulled the show because it was god awful. The jokes were obvious. The only funny bits were the ACLU segments and those were tapering off. The format is all wrong. The anchors were actors; one of them said he was a political agnostic, so he wasn't even believing what he was saying, so it came across as empty and hollow. I totally forgot about it after the first few airings. 10pm on sunday. I believe venture brothers is on and that's a ton better.

Oh I agree 100%. But that doesn't change the fact that it still outranked all other shows of its timeslot. So funny or not, advertisers loved it.

Comedy with an obvious political agenda is just plain stupid. Clearly this is just some piggyback on the Daily Show.

They should stick to reporting biased news like they always have - if it aint broke why fix it?

Yeah I actually wanted to like it.

Though I'm a liberal I still feel it's unfair that all the best political comedy shows are liberal and I wanted to see the other side. These guys just weren't good. That's no hit on conservatives so all you water carriers can put down your buckets, no need to come to their defense (that's been a full time job for you and has got to be getting old by now :D).

It's the same old story. Stuffy conservative views just aren't funny that's all. Common sense.

Sometimes when I feel the urge to see what folks at the other end of the spectrum are doing for laughs I hit YouTube and watch anything with Ann Coulter in it.

I saw her on some right leaning show where she said that Canada was lucky that the US didn't roll over in its sleep and crush it. She is sick, but she's funny as hell.
