Is there any real alternative(s) to WHMCS ? If so what would be your recommendations? Would love to have it but I cant justify the price tag for WHMCS at the moment ta
The few I can name off the top of my head are Modernbill, Clientexec and WHM Auto pilot. I am sure there are others out there and I believe these may be the same price or more expensive them WHMCS. Maybe your best bet is to try a WHMCS reseller who sells for less than what WHMCS charges directly.
My favorite is ClientExec along with Kayako SupportSuite ClientExec - Billing Kayako - Support The best combination I have used after using ModernBill (it sucks).
Do you really think making the client sign up into 2 different systems is a good idea ? why just not using one system that has the billing and support integrated ? It's just easier for the client and for the administration as well because when looking into a support ticket you can see the client products and invoices right away
Well, you make the client sign up in your billing account, and you create their account in kayako with same login credential. You then advise your client that their technical support account is active. You dont let the client do it. You do it for him.
Still doesn't make sense for me at all Just a waste of time and effort As i said in the previous post, it becomes handy when dealing with support issues if you have all client details/products/invoices a click away
Well, I belive they are still a click , or maybe two away. You just have to switch browser window. I believe these are the two best software, but unfortunatly, none have those two inside one, like said it would be easier.
I think, you shouldn't think about an alternative of whmcs. Most of the billing managers are heavy in weight, take loads of time to load and use huge mysql queries. All are least in whmcs. It is really good at a flat price i think. But certainly some more modules are required, i hope those will be added soon, let me advise you, stay with whmcs Regards
I think there are many viable alternatives to WHMCS. freshbooks.com is a good one, with plenty of features. If you are looking for something with a quicker learning curve, another one I've tried that I really like is CompassBill at compassbill.net.
